Rhamnolipid biosurfactant is the secondary metabolites secreted by microorganisms under certain culture conditions.It has a good environmental compatibility,but the cost of production is the major limiting factor in its industrial applications.The review is outlined in terms of the methods in purification of rhamnolipid.The development trend of this field in the future is forecasted.
