Surgical treatment of moderate and severe functional tricuspid regurgitation

Objective To observe the clinical effect of Tricuspid Forming Ring in valve annuloplasty for functional tricuspid regurgitation.Methods Sixty patients with moderate and severe tricuspid regurgitation were divided into 2 groups.Tricuspid regurgitation in thirty patients with congenital heart disease was corrected with a traditionally band annuloplasty of Devega(group A).Thirty patients were given domestic BalMedic ring tricuspid valve annuloplasty(group B);all patients were observed in 2 weeks,6 months,1 year after surgery to estimate effect of tricuspid valve annuloplasty.Results Between two groups,tricuspid regurgitation had no differences in the early period after surgery,tricuspid regurgitation had differences in 6 months,1 year after surgery(P0.05).Conclusions Valve Annuloplasty of Tricuspid Forming Ring is an effective procedure to correct functional tricuspid regurgitation in patients with congenital heart disease in the middle and long-term.
