The Virginia Stormwater (VAST) Model has been developed for use on IBM compatible microcomputers to simulate stormwater runoff and nonpoint source pollution. Hydrologic and nonpoint source pollution modeling techniques employed in VAST are similar to those found in such major models as HEC-1, STORM, and SWMM. VAST is user friendly and has a moderate input data requirement. Computer graphics have been utilized to facilitate presentation of results and to allow interactive model calibration and verification. The model has been successfully tested with data collected for three watersheds near Richmond, Virginia.
