摘要
The light-emitting properties of a semiconducting material are known to determine its performance when incorporated into an optoelectronic device. In this sense, research on the emission of lead-halide perovskites has accompanied the extraordinary development of high-efficiency photovoltaic and light-emitting devices based on this material. In this chapter, we review the basics of charge carrier recombination in order to later discuss those aspects of light emission in lead halide perovskites that make them a unique semiconductor, highlighting some issues that remain to be understood prior to its incorporation into real-life mass-produced devices.
