A scalable approach for constructing bicyclic hydantoin structures to synthesize crucial intermediates for d -biotin

This study reports a new method to synthesize the key bicyclic thiazolidine hydantoin intermediate of d -biotin using N -benzyl-1 H -imidazole-1-carboxamide, which provides a scalable and industrially viable route to its derivatives.
