Significant enhancement of piezoelectricity induced by oxygen adsorption in monolayer and multilayer MoS2

The in-plane piezoelectricity increases with increasing the number of layers for O@MoS 2 . The vertical piezoelectricity of trilayer reaches 101.632 pm V −1 , reaching the level of piezoelectric coefficients in state-of-the-art perovskites.
