Preliminary Study on Xenotransfusion Based on an Animal Model of Hemorrhagic Shock in Rabbits

The objective of this experiment was to discuss the role of xenotransfusion based on hemorrhagic shock in rabbits.To establish rabbit hemorrhagic shock model,six rabbits were randomly divided into two groups.There were three rabbits for xenotransfusion on hemorrhagic shock in one group and the other three on hemorrhagic shock for the control group.The clinical indicators and blood and urine indexes were observed and measured before and after blood loss and blood transfusion in two groups.After urgent blood transfusion of pig erythrocytes in hemorrhagic shock group,the blood and urine indexex returned to normal in rabbits after 2 days,and clinical indicators restored.The rabbits in hemorrhagic shock group showed severe symptoms,and died within 16 h.The importations of pig erythrocyte play an important role in curing the rabbit hemorrhagic shock rapidly.
