Research of the sharpening method of the twist drill's flank

On the basis of the core sharpening method and helical sharpening method,an advanced helical core sharpening method is introduced,and the mathematical model of its flank is set up. The circumferential clearances produced by three sharpening methods are compared by 3D software,and the distribution of the circumferential clearance of the advanced helical core sharpening method is better than helical core sharpening method.
