Objective To investigate the curative effect of a-lipoic acid binding with Ligustrazine in treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Methods 50 patients of diabetic peripheral neuropathy were divided randomly into 2 groups. The control group was provided 100mg Ligustrazine with saline dropping for 3 weeks. The 27 samples of cured group were treated with 600mg a-lipoic acid with normal saline liquid vein dropping,qd,for 3 weeks. The clinic symptom, body symptom variation and nerve conduction velocity(NCV)before and after the treatment were calculated. Results The effective rate of cured group was higher than control group(85.19% vs 43.48%,P0.05).After treatment, the improvement of NCV for the cured group was better than the compared group(t=2.3411、2.718,P0.05).Conclusion α-lipoic acid combined with Ligustrazine can obviously treat diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
