Research Progress of Polypropylene /silicate Composites

China is rich in silicate mineral resources,polypropylene /silicate composites has development outlook due to full utilization of the cheap mineral resources.Enhancing the dispersion of silicate minerals in polypropylene is an essential part of producting high quality polypropylene /silicate composites.This article summarized the reseach on polypropylene's filling and modifying by typical silicate minerals such as talcum powder,montmorillonoid,wollastonite powder,attapulgite clays,zeolite.Emphasized on some basic technique and reaction mechanisms of enhancing the dispersion of silicates in polypropylene,including cationic surfactants treatment, coupling agent treatment, macromolecule encapsulation treament,etc.
