Objective:To quantify bacterial endotoxin in the raw materials of tobramycin for injection by dynamic turbidimetric Limuius test. Methods: An interference test was conducted by adding a quantity of standard endotoxin into tobramycin. The optimal detection concentration was determined when the recovery rate of tobramycin was within 50%~200%. Results: At 0.125 mg·mL~ -1, tobramycin was more accurately quantified with the Limuius test. The recovery rates of 3 batches of tobramycin were 118.5%, 131.2% and 146.3%, respectively. Conclusion: This dynamic turbidimetric Limuius test provides a simple, reliable and efficient detection of endotoxin in Tobramycin for injection.
