Objective To evaluate the radiosensitivity of pulmonary carcinoma cell lines NCI-H446,SK-MES-1 and Lu-165.Methods Three tumor cell lines NCI-H446,SK-MES-1 and Lu-165 were irradiated by 60Co γ-ray,then the radiobiology characteristics of the three lines were analyzed by the method of colony-forming assay.According to radiosensitivity parameters D0,Dq,N and SF2.Compare the radiosensitivity of the three tumors cell lines.Flow cytometry was used to detect the apoptosis index of tumor cells.The relationship between radiosensitivity and radiation-induced apoptosis in three tumor cell lines were analized.Results D0 and Dq and N and SF2 were ranked in the following descending order:Lu-165SK-MES-1NCI-H446,while the radiosensitivity: NCI-H446SK-MES-1Lu-165.The result of FCM assay detected obvious apoptosis peak.It was found that there was a close correlation between apoptosis and the delivered dose: that was the larger the dose,the more the apoptosis.The apoptosis peak of the three tumor cell lines:NCI-H446SK-MES-1Lu-165.In accord with the height of radiosensitivity.Conclusion Apoptosis could be used as potential predictors of radiosensitivity for tumor cells.
