Research Progress of Rare Earth Elements Biological Effect on Algae

This article summarized the biological effect of REE on algae in recent years from algae growth and physiological chracteristics.The present studies showed that effects of rare earth on algae were closely related with the kinds of REE and species of algae,thus it is significant to study more species of algae.Meanwhile,most existing conclusions were drawn under laboratory conditions,so environmental factors should be taken into account in the research.Furthermore,it is necessary to study the effect at cell and molecular level.
