Gallium Scan Finding in a Patient with Suppurative Lymphangitis Secondary to Sporotrichosis

Sites of fungal infection can be associated with many inflammatory changes. A patient with severe inflammation of the right thumb and arm was subsequently found to have suppurative lymphangitis secondary to sporotrichosis. Gallium imaging demonstrated well the lymphangitic pattern of inflammation.
