The Crystal Structure of the Molybdenum Complex of [70]Fullerene Mo(ẽ2-C70)(CO)2(Phen)(Dbm) · 2C3H8O · 2.5H2O (Phen = 1,10-Phenanthroline, Dbm = Dibutyl Maleate)

The molybdenum complex of C70, [Mo(ẽ2-C70)(CO)2(phen)(dbm)] (1) (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, dbm = dibutyl maleate) has been synthesised by heating a solution of C70 with [Mo(CO)2(phen)(dbm)2] in toluene followed by chromatography over silica gel and the crystal structure has been determined.
