On Herz's projection theorem

Let $G$ be a locally compact group and $H$ a discrete amenable subgroup. We prove the existence of a contractive projection $\mathcal{Q}$ of $CV_p(G)$ onto $CV_p(H)$ such that $\operatorname{supp} \mathcal{Q}(T)\subset \operatorname{supp} T$.
