Modulation of P. aeruginosa quorum sensing and host immune response with biomimetic cyclodextrin enzyme models

Thiol and Cu( ii ) bearing cyclodextrin derivatives mimicking the active sites of lactonases and cysteine hydrolases are shown to modulate bacterial quorum sensing, reduce pro-inflammatory cytokine and mucin expression of infected lung cells.
