摘要
Synthetic cannabinoids (SCs) are chemical compounds that imitate the effects of Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC), the primary active component of Cannabis. SCs are frequently disguised as e-cigarettes, herbs, or spices to evade legal control. Detecting SCs, a large group of drugs of abuse, poses a significant challenge. Therefore, researchers are exploring new methods for their analysis. Electrochemistry is an ideal tool for monitoring SCs due to its ease of use, sensitivity, and portability. This chapter presents recent advances in developing electrochemical sensors for detecting SCs. The text aims to summarize and describe the types of SCs, followed by a discussion of their electrochemical sensing. Finally, recent studies on detecting SCs using electrochemical sensors are reviewed.
