Research on synthesis of Fuberidazole catalyzed by SiO_2-supported CeCl_3·7H_2O-NaI

Using O-phenylendiamine and furfural as the starting material,Fuberidazole were prepared with SiO2-supported CeCl3·7H2O-NaI as catalyst.The effects of the reaction conditions on the reaction results such as molar ratio,reaction temperature and reaction time were examined.The optimum conditions are as follows:n(O-phenylendiamine) ∶ n(furfural) = 1.0 ∶ 2.0,reaction temperature 80 ℃,reaction time 2.5 h.Under these conditions the yield of 2-benzoylpyrrole was over 90%,purity was up to 92%.SiO2-Supported CeCl3·7H2O-NaI can be duplicatedly used,the production rate can still reach 80% after using four times,the process can react without solvents.
