Electrochemiluminescence of quantum dots and their applications in bioassay

As a type of new electrochemiluminescence emitters with unique chemical and physical properties,quantum dots have become a spotlight in the area of electrochemiluminescence analysis.In this paper,the basic electrochemiluminescence mechanisms of quantum dots are briefly described,and their analytical applications in immunoassay,DNA analysis,aptasensing and cytosensing are reviewed.Furthermore,the development trend of quantum dot electrochemiluminescence is prospected.
