[Role of receptor-mediated endocytosis in the mechanism of cellular lesions in endotoxin shock].

Published data and the results of studies of some problems of receptor-mediated endocytosis have been reviewed. General and specific mechanisms of endotoxin incorporation in the cell and potential consequences of lipopolysaccharide molecule internalisation in endotoxic shock have been outlined. It is suggested that the use of receptor-mediated endocytosis might be promising in the elaboration of effective approaches of bioactive substance transport to various target cells and tissues.
