Techniques of Harmonics Measurement Based on LabVIEW7.1

Application of electronic products in power system cause the increase of harmonic content, and the harmonics worsens the quality of electric energy. The measurement and analysis of harmonic is the foundation of harmonic suppression. The traditional method of harmonics measurement has a lot of disadvantages, and the virtual instrument(VI)technology can overcome these disadvantages. The VI technology is applied to measure power system harmonics. Techniques of harmonics measurement based on LabVIEW7.1 ware put forward in this paper, and the method that how to use it measure harmonics been given too. At the same time, the advantages of harmonics measurement based on virtual instrument and other function of harmonics measurement that can use VI developed are pointed out.
