[Objective]To observe the α-lipoic acid on nerve conduction velocity and in with insulin-like growth factor in diabetic peripheral neuropathy patients.[Methods] A total of Will be 32 cases of diabetic peripheral neuropathy patients with active control of diabetes were given α-lipoic acid(600mg/d),intravenous drip for 14d a course.Nerve conduction velocity changes and neuropathy assessment of the symptoms were before and after treatment compared [Results] After α-lipoic acid treatment,MNCV,SNCV and TSS score were significantly improved.Expression of IGF-Ⅰ up-regu lated.[Conclusions] α-lipoic acid can improve the nerve conduction velocity in diabetic peripheral neuropathy patients, and the patient's symptoms improvement may be related to the increased levels of IGF-Ⅰ.
