Matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs)are a group of Zinc-dependent proteolytic enzymes,playing essential roles in the degradation of the extracellular matrix(ECM) MMPs have been implicated in processes leading to the invasion and metastasis of human cancers Evidences suggest that they also play a role in tumor neovascularization This articles review the studies of MMPs' role in invasion and metastasis of lung cancer
