Studies on Chemical Constituents of Chimonanthus nitens Oliv

OBJECTIVE To investigate the chemical constituents of Chimonanthus nitens Oliv.METHODS The chemical components were isolated and purified by silica gel,Al2O3 column and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography.The chemical structures were identified by spectral analyses of MS,NMR,et al.RESULTS Eight compounds were isolated and identified as 6,7-dimethoxycoumarin(1),l-calycanthine(2),berberine(3),quercetin(4),kaempferol(5),p-hydroxybenzoic acid(6),vanillic acid(7),isoscopletin(8).CONCLUSION Compounds 2～3,6～8 were obtained from the plant for the first time.
