Objective: To explore the reliability of a novel dynamometer. Methods: Muscle contraction strength was obtained by a force sensor and conversed to objective datum by A/D conversion.Ten muscle groups of each side of 36 health adults were measured by operator A twice, and 4 adults by operator A and B respectively once at an interval of 7 to 10 days. Results: Intraclass correlation coefficients indicated good intra-rater reliability(0.63-0.99) and inter-operator reliability(0.42-1.0),(P)0.001.Conclusion: The muscle strength measurement system is reliable. The dynamometer can be used as an objective instrument to detect muscle strength, frame rehabilitation treatment plans, and evaluate efficiency of rehabilitation therapy.
