Effects of Chinese medicine foot bath treatment combined with Methylcobalamin on diabetic peripheral neuropathy

【Objective】To investigate the effects of Chinese medicine foot bath treatment combined with Methylcobalamin on diabetic peripheral neuropathy.【Methods】70 patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN) were randomly divided into treatment group(n =35) and control group(n =35).The treatment group was treated with Chinese medicine foot bath combined with Methylcobalamin and the control group was treated with Methylcobalamin alone.The total schedule involved 4 weeks.【Results】After treatment,the improvement of symptoms was observed in both groups.An obvious increase of motor and sensory nerve conduction velocity was observed in the treatment group,and more obvious than the control(P 0.05).【Conclusions】Chinese medicine foot bath treatment combined with Methylcobalamin is an effective therapy in DPN.
