Adsorption Characteristics of Zn(II) by Two Kinds of Activated Carbon

Adsorption isotherms were measured experimentally for Zn(II) adsorption onto wood based carbon and coal based carbon.Although the wood based carbon has smaller surface area,it has larger capacity for Zn(II) adsorption.Zn(II) adsorption onto activated carbon was significantly affected by pH,and the adsorption isotherm increased as pH increased from 2 to 7.
