Chemical constituents from above-ground part of Gynura bicolor

Eight compounds were isolated and identified from the volume fraction 80% ethanol extracts from above-ground part of Gynura bicolor(Willd.) DC.There are 5-(hydroxymethyl) furfural(1),benzoic acid(2),4-hydroxybenzaldehyde(3),vanillic acid(4),syringic acid(5),4-hydroxybenzoic acid(6),protocatechuic acid(7) and kaempferol(8).In which,compounds 1,2,3,4,5 and 7 are isolated from this species for the first time.
