摘要
Neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Huntington's diseases are one of the most studied diseases in health sciences. Although each of them has their own mechanisms and outcomes, they share molecular mechanisms like oxidative stress which plays the key role in neurodegeneration. Therefore, alleviating the oxidative stress and improving the antioxidant defense capacity of the brain tissue helps to reduce the progression of neurotoxicity including the progression Alzheimer's disease. In this regard, we have studied the neuroprotective activity of the compounds that were determined as the most active derivatives against AChE enzyme in our previous study. The results revealed that Compounds 3 and 4 restore the cell viability especially at lower doses, hence, these two molecules may be a promising lead for further studies with their neuroprotectivity potential and AChE inhibitory activity.
