in this research the effect of grading scale and response key in the grading of essay type examinations and the time between grading and the effect of grading done by the different teachers to the reliability were examined. in conclu-sion (a) out of the comparison of the grades of essay type examinations given by the different teacher using and/or vvithout using the grading scale and response key and (b) out of the comparison of the grades of essay type given by the same teacher at different times using and/or vvithout using grading scale and response key, it was found out that there were meaningful differences be- tvveen the average of grading and there was some effect of the time passed be-tvveen the grades on the coiisistence.
