摘要
We have investigated the magnetic properties of Ce x La 1- x Sb alloys for x =0.9 and 0.5 by means of magnetization and specific heat measurements. They exhibit the magnetic ordering below 11.4 K for x =0.9 and 1.5 K for x =0.5. Their distinct anomalies have been observed at the phase boundaries in magnetic fields. Transformations in the magnetic field-temperature phase diagrams of these alloys have been established. The features of these phase diagram seem that all magnetic phases shift towards low temperature as the La concentration increases. The magnetic property of Ce 0.5 La 0.5 Sb is mostly explained by the crystalline electric field (CEF) effect. It is shown that the p – f mixing effect in Ce x La 1- x Sb becomes weaker and CEF effect consequently becomes dominated in Ce–LaSb alloy with increasing the La substitution.
