Sesquiterpene lactone glycosides and ionone derivative glycosides from Sonchus asper

Five new sesquiterpene glycosides, sonchusides E-I, and three new ionone derivative glycosides, sonchuionosides A-C, together with a known sesquiterpene glycoside, sonchuside D, and a known ionone derivative glycoside, icariside B1 have been isolated from Sonchus asper. The structures of the new compounds were established on the basis of chemical and spectral data.
