A novel method for treating dye wastewater by combination of bamboo charcoal, inorganic (PAC) and organic (NPAM) flocculants was developed. The results show that the combination treatment with bamboo charcoal and flocculants had better flocculating efficiency for dye wastewater than single flocculant. Under the optimal conditions of bamboo charcoal amount 0.15 g,PAC amount 680 mg/L and NPAM amount 6 mg/L,CODCr reduction and settling rate were 91.3 % and 53.47 mm/min,respectively. Furthermore, the colority of treated water was lower than 2.
