Analysis of Treatment of Femoral Neck Fracture in the Old-aged

Objective:To observe and analyse the outcome of artificial femoral head replacement on the treatment of femoral neck fracture in the old-aged. Methods:Artificial femoral head replacement was performed in 67 patients -over 70 years. Results:Averagely all cases were followed up in 22 months. Clinical evaluation was made from four aspects according to Harris criteria including pain,function,joint activity and deformity. It is excellent in 23 cases,good in 28 cases .fair in 13 cases and poor in 3 cases,with 76. 1% excellent and good results. Conclusion:Artificial femoral head replacement is an effective method for treatment of patients in the old-aged with femoral neck fracture.
