The degradation of dichloromethane (DCM) and trichloroethylene (TCE) by TiO_2 photocatalyst was experimentally investigated with a cylindrical reactor. TiO_2 photocatalyst was painted on the inner wall of the reactor and a 15W ultraviolet lamp with 253.7 nm wavelength was employed as the light source. The operation parameters such as the concentrations of VOCs and gas residence time were examined. Experimental results showed that the TiO_2 photocatalyst prepared at 550 ℃ of activation temperature for 3 hours exhibited better photocatalytic activities than the catalysts prepared at 250 ℃ and 400 ℃, and over 70% degradations were achieved for the pollutants with the concentration of 1.23×10~(-5) mol/L and gas flow rate of 160 mL/min.
