Fingerprint of Swertia franchetiana extracts by HPLC

AIM: To establish the HPLC-FPC of Swertia franchetiana extracts. METHODS: Based on Phenomenex Kromasil C_ 18 (4.6 mm×250 mm, 5 μm) column, methanol -0.1% phosphate acid was used as the mobile phase, and gradient elution program was applied. The detection wavelength was at 260 nm. RESULTS: 20 peaks were gained on HPLC fingerprint. CONCLUSION: This method is simple and accurate with a good reproducibility and can be used as a quality control method for Swertia franchetiana extracts.
