Cost-effectiveness Analysis of Two Therapeutic Schemes by Fenofibrate for Hyperlipidemia

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the economic efficiency of Fenofibrate tablets and Fenofibrate sustained release capsules in treatment of hyperlipidemia.METHODS 100 out-patients clinic with hyperlipidemia were divided into two groups:Fenofibrate tablets group and Fenofibrate sustained release capsules group.Data was evaluated using the pharmacoeconimic cost-effectiveness analysis.RESULTS For Group Fenofibrate tablets and Fenofibrate sustained release capsules,the costs were 220.7 and 329.6 yuan,respectively;the total effective rates were 88% and 94%,respectively;the cost-effectiveness ratios were 250.8 and 350.6,respectively.The incremental cost-effectiveness ratios of Group Fenofibrate sustained release capsules were 1815 as against Group Fenofibrate tablets.CONCLUSION Group Fenofibrate tablets is preferable for hyperlipidemia between the two groups.
