The recent progress in the assembly and carbon dioxide adsorption of a new generation zeolitic imidazolate frameworks is briefly reviewed.The new generation zeolitic imidazolate frameworks belong to a kind of microporous material with tunable apertures and chemical property.And they have extraordinary thermal and chemical stability and high porosity composition,which exhibit unusual selectivity for carbon dioxide capture from some gas mixture and extraodinary capacity for storing carbon dioxide.
