Current Status and Prospect of Monochamus alternatus Control and Trapping in China

Monochamus alternatus is a major beetle attacking trunks of pine tree,which also spread the disease(Bursaphelenchus xylophilus).This pest is widely distributed in China and causes serious threats on health of forest industry.Considering that,a lot of studies had been conducted on control and trapping of Monochamus alternatus.This paper reviewed the studies related to biological control and trapping techniques of this pests,and analyzed the prospect,with the objective to provide reference for effective control of Monochamus alternatus.
