Preparation of High Melt Strength Polypropylene by Sensitizing Irradiation

High melt strength polypropylene(PP) was prepared by sensitized radiation The influence of sensitizer content and irradiation dose on the melt strength and gel mass fraction was investigated, and the modified polypropylene was characterized by means of IR and DSC The results showed that high melt strength polypropylene was got when 1,4 butylene glycol diacrylate was used as sensitizer and the additive content of the sensitizer was 0 4%～1% (mass fraction), and the irradiation dose was 1kGy
