Application of Surface Sizing Agent YH-1 on Packaging Paper

Application of surface sizing in packaging has become a trend to replace internal sizing. Strong waterproofing synthetic surface sizing agent (YH-1) was tested in production of corrugated board pa- per and coated paper.The results showed that the sizing efficiency of surface sizing is higher than that of in- ternal sizing,which overcome the deformation problem under wetting circumstance.Moreover,the smooth- ness of sized paper increased and the degree of linting and pull-up decreased apparently after surface sizing.
