摘要
Polyoxometalates (POMs) are a class of nanoscale metal–oxygen clusters formed by the connection of pre-transition metal ions through oxygen atoms. In recent years, POMs have been considered a promising platform in sensing applications. It has been known that POM-based composites with intriguing structures and excellent properties received more attention in electrochemistry field. This review summarized the development and preparation methods of POM-based composite electrochemical sensors in the past decade. The sensing mechanism of electrochemical sensors were explained in details. The challenges and opportunities of developing POM-based materials as novel electrochemical sensing platform was also discussed. This review will provide some creative inspiration to advance future studies on POM-based composites in electrochemical sensing field.
