摘要
The wave union is a one of the most popular method implemented recently in programable devices for precise measurements of time intervals. Due to the excellent metrological parameters provided by this method, it is used in different variants in both FPGA and ASIC devices. In this paper we present an in-depth analysis focused exclusively to this method. Various implementations are compared and general conclusions are formulated.
