摘要
The combination of various "classic" chemical as well as chemocatalytic reactions with biotransformations toward chemoenzymatic cascade-type one-pot processes has gained tremendous interested in recent years as such syntheses can reduce the number of work-up and intermediate isolation steps, thus leading to a decreased amount of required solvent for extraction steps and consequently a lower amount of waste. Among various opportunities to combine chemocatalytic and biocatalytic reactions toward one-pot processes, sequential-type one-pot processes have been increasingly developed in recent years. A broad range of chemocatalytic transformations have been combined with biotransformations in such a process mode, thus also demonstrating a high compatibility of enzymes with respect to the components (substrates, reagents, and products) as well as catalysts from the chemocatalytic steps. It is noteworthy that these chemocatalytic reactions comprise transformations with metal catalysts as well as organocatalysts. Furthermore, these catalysts can be used in homogeneous as well heterogeneous form.
