摘要
Background
Due to the death mechanism of erythrocyte differs from apoptosis of nucleated cells, and eryptosis was be proposed to describe the suicidal death of erythrocyte.
Objective
To discuss if the ultimately effective pathway of eryptosis is phosphatidylserine(PS) exposure on the cell surface and then was identified, engulfed and degraded by macrophages.
Content
Review the mechanisms involved in eryptosis and the ways mediated PS exposure and erythrocyte degration.
Trend
To make certain the relation between PS exposure and eryptosis may provide new theory and method to eryptosis prevention.
