摘要
Abstract Electrochemical synthesis of hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ) via two‐electron oxygen reduction reaction (2e − ORR) in neutral media offers notable advantages due to its storage stability and elimination of post‐treatment requirements, rendering it highly attractive for industrial implementation. The H 2 O 2 produced under neutral media can be directly applied in healthcare, food preservation, and environmental remediation, which is widely regarded as one of the most industrially viable and economically competitive strategies for on‐site production. This review provides a comprehensive overview of recent advances in catalyst design strategies, electrode architectures, and reactor optimization approaches in neutral media, with particular focus on the practical applicability and economic competitiveness of H 2 O 2 electrosynthesis coupled with organic oxidation. Finally, considering current industry trends, an outlook on future directions and key challenges is presented, offering insights to facilitate the technological advancement and practical deployment of electrochemical H 2 O 2 production under neutral conditions.
