Abstract The magnetic anisotropy and magnetoelastic properties of the magnetic Weyl semimetal Co 2 MnGa were investigated in the Co 2 MnGa thin films with different chemical orderings. These properties are changing with the increase in the contents of the higher-ordered B2 and L2 1 phases. The most significant changes of both the magnetic anisotropy and the magnetoelastic properties were correlated with the appearance of the L2 1 ordered phase of Heusler alloy, suggesting that the emergence of magnetic Weyl semimetallic feature is the key point to vary these properties.
