Structural design of stacks

This paper discusses how the principal loads to be considered in the design of stacks are: wind load, earthquake load, design pressure and temperature, dead loads, and piping loads. The most probable combination of loads must be selected for a safe and economical design. Only the greater of wind or seismic loads is used for design.
