PROSES EKSTRAKSI KONTINYU LAWAN ARAH DENGAN SIMULASI BATCH TIGA TAHAP : PENGAMBILAN MINYAK BIJI ALPUKAT MENGGUNAKAN PELARUT N-HEXANE DAN ISO PROPIL ALKOHOL
The purpose of this research is to study the yield and selectivity from avocado seed oil extraction using n-hexane and IPA as solvent. Extraction is a method to separate a component from the mixture using solvent as the separating agent. The extraction process was carried out by continuous system with three stages counter current batch simulation using IPA and n-hexane as solvent at 82 oC and 69 oC, respectively; during 2 hours with the material and solvent ratio is 20gr/250gr. Yield of the research using n-hexane and IPA are 18,689 % and 17,868 %. Both oils either using n-hexane or IPA solvent fulfill avocado seed oil specification. The rendement using n-hexane is quantitatively better than IPA but the impurity content show that IPA is qualitatively better than n-hexane.
